Welcome to Sheffield Adventure Film Festival online! At ShAFF events there’s a buzz in the air that we only get when we get together. We hold an annual festival and year-round screenings celebrating the best new adventure films from around the world. We want to inspire you to seek your own adventures, challenge yourself and take action to protect the environments we adventure in.

In 2020, for the first time in our 15 year history, the festival was cancelled. A national lockdown was introduced on the weekend that we were due to gather in the Showroom Cinema, Sheffield. Now we are excited to present our online programme, specially selected by the festival Directors, this is your chance to see the films you weren't able to watch in the cinema this year!

From our home in Sheffield - a city in the heart of England with a national park within its boundaries - we scour the world for the best new adventure films. We’ve curated them into four online programmes that are surprising, energetic, challenging and uplifting. From one minute long to feature length, we choose films that reflect the diversity of the outdoor experience, giving a window into other places, people, and perspectives as well as our own. Expect ocean crossings, mountain climbing, high adrenaline and big tricks, along with quieter moments of contemplation and unexpected discoveries...
